Even More Melacholy...

Just days after the announcement that Yen Press had secured the English translation and Western publication rights to Japanese anime/manga/novel phenomenon The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Yen's sister company Little Brown Books for Young Readers has let us know that they've squared away the rest of the license. That's right, sports fans... Melancholy's original media incarnation -- as a series of light novels -- will be translated and on the shelves in North America in time for a 2009 release.

Just imagine... now you will be able to watch your Haruhi DVDs while listening to Haruhi CD soundtracks and switching between reading Haruhi novels and Haruhi manga... all at once! I get a little nauseous just thinking about it.
